Job Description:

We have been retained by a leading company engaged in the construction, development and maintenance services of roads and highways, bridges, irrigation and mining projects, construction of commercial buildings, and other ancillary services like toll collection, operation and maintenance of highways.
 
Purpose of the Role : 
 
The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will be part of the senior leadership team and responsible for running the day to day project operations and taking the project operations to the next level. The CTO shall be the single point of contact for all technical matters, resource management, team control and responsible for contractual obligations and execution of projects undertaken by the company. 

The CTO shall be the overall In-charge for execution of project and Reporting to MD/Directors.
Overall coordination between the different agencies like SPV / NHAI for smooth running of the projects.
Manage meetings with Consultants for getting all technical submissions
 
Deliverables of the Role :
 
  • Oversee the preparation of tenders, negotiation, finalization of bids, procuring and engaging consultants / sub-contractors. 
  • Review and conclude on Contractual matters, leading different projects across the country, resource allocation, control and monitoring
  • To do proper controlling of projects, monitor and lead the teams to reach business targets 
  • To liaise with Clients, discuss technical matters, clear issue logs, monitor quality and ensure timely submissions.
  • To appraise Management / Board on status, plan position, risk mitigation etc.
  • Represent the firm on key functions / workshops/ conference etc.

Job Requirements:

The Person for the Role :
  • The person should ideally be with Civil / Structural engineering background (preferred) with construction related experience.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in design / construction / management of projects
  • Should be conversant in the use of computer  systems, project related software in the field related to design, management, documentation, controlling etc.
  • Must be thorough in the matter of project compliances. 
  • Proven leadership capability to handle a team of about 300 to 500.
  • High analytical bent of mind with strong relationship skills.
